Nabtesco Aerospace, Inc has a Entry Level Buyer position available at our Kirkland, Washington office.


A Japanese owned Engineering and Manufacturing company is looking for a Buyer for the commercial Aerospace Industry.

Responsible for compiling information and reports to prepare purchase orders for procurement of materials required, per established procedures, by performing the following duties. Work involves attention to detail ability to work effectively with suppliers and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

  •     Performs data entry of all purchase orders
        Sends all new purchase orders to vendors
        Assists other departments when required
        Reviews requisitions
        Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule
        Prepares purchase orders or bid requests
        Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of orders
        Contacts vendors with discrepancies with quantity and quality
        Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues as necessary
        Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
        Helps develop the company’s inventory tracking system

          Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and/or an Associate degree preferable or two to five years of related job experience or a combination of both
          Experience in lean manufacturing preferable in the Aerospace Industry
          Must be able to adapt to rapid changing and demanding environment


            Possible travel up to 15% of the time local and/or out of country

        Computer Skills:

              Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
              Experience with MRP systems preferred


                Must be able read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from management, suppliers, and our customer.
